These are the biscuits my mom made when I was a kid. It was always a treat with her homemade strawberry jam. As my kiddos grew up I'd make them as the main course with sausage gravy and a side of fresh fruit for a quick weeknight meal. This was one of the first recipes I converted when I went gluten free and remains a staple in my pantry!  If you're in hurry you can drop them by the spoonfuls, all those nooks and crannies hold butter perfectly! Or, if you prefer a smooth top you can pat the dough out and cut into 5 inch circles. A little brush of garlic butter on top fresh from the oven turns these into a wonderful savory side serving of yum!  Yields 6 biscuits about 5 inches in diameter.
